I hope people look at my story and see a minority and a woman with no capital, no resources, and no entrepreneurial experience climb the ladder of success because she overcame obstacles that got in her way!
Mangrum encouraged others to act on their ideas and put in the hard work of making them a reality. She noted that if she hadn’t realized the value of one-on-one tutoring model and acted on it, she wouldn’t have the business she has today.
Intrigued by these significant academic gains, Natalie knew there was life-changing potential in the one-on-one model, but felt that this support was lacking for students in Maryland and beyond.
I balance motherhood with my entrepreneurial endeavors by relying on my flexibility as a business owner. Since I am running this ship, I can choose when I will have meetings and where… My favorite piece of advice is to stay patient.
I’m still learning and honing what my definition of success is. Some days, it’s knowing that I’m providing a service with integrity and excellence and I’m helping different groups of people.

Over time, I learned to accept the highs with the lows, I don’t take things so seriously. There will be good days. There will be bad days. There’s a lesson in all of it. I choose the perspective that everything is happening for my good.
